It's that time of year again where you get to sit down with all your buddies and watch some teams duke it out for the next title of Super Bowl Champs!! But just because you don't eat animal products (or your favorite team isn't playing this year) doesn't mean that you have to miss out on all the game-day goodies.
Here are my top 10 vegan Super Bowl recipes that can all easily be made ahead of time - even days before - then either fried or popped in the oven when you're ready to feast. These options stray from the traditional chicken wings, nachos, soft pretzels, dips or other snacks you might be tired of. Eat up and enjoy your food coma!
Because you have to start Sunday morning the right way! I love adding vegan chocolate chips to these pancakes once they're on the griddle for some extra sweetness. The pancakes can even be made a day before, stored overnight in the fridge, then reheated in a 350° F oven until they're warmed through. But the batter is also super quick to whip up if you want to make them from scratch that morning.
The batter can be made ahead of time, and you can fry these babies about a half hour before you're ready to eat them. Or you can fry them all ahead of time, store them in the fridge, then quickly re-fry them in a tiny bit of oil to crisp them back up. They're crunchy and pair perfectly with some vegan dill sour cream.
Stuffed with vegan beef and homemade nacho cheese, these egg rolls will satisfy everyone's cravings - even the non-vegans in the group are bound to love them. Make the entire recipe ahead of time (but do not fry them just yet), store them overnight in the fridge, then fry them up when you're ready to eat so they're extra crispy. Or you can fry them ahead of time, then reheat them in a little bit of oil until they're warmed through. Serve them with some shredded lettuce and diced tomato to replicate the classic burger.
One of my favorite snacks for any occasion. This all can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge, but I'd recommend to let it all come to room temp before serving. If you make it ahead of time, I'd advise skipping the fried sweet potato since it tends to get pretty soft when stored in the fridge. Or you could always throw the sushi in some oil to make Crispy Rice Sushi instead.
What's game day without a little beer and pizza? These flatbread pizzas are easy to pop in the oven when you need a heartier snack. Cut them into small individual pieces so everyone can enjoy a taste. Or let everyone make their own individual pizza with their preferred toppings for dinner. You can also try these Mini Skillet Platbread Pizzas if you want a more doughy dough.
Definitely make these ahead of time and WOW your guests with these impressive but easy-to-make vegan pork tamales. Once they're all wrapped up, all you have to do is let them steam for an hour, and then enjoy a tamale feast! Store them in the fridge wrapped in their corn husks. When you're ready to enjoy one, unwrap it from it's corn husk and reheat it in the microwave for about a minute or until it's warmed through. Eat them plain or topped with some avocado, guacamole, or salsa.
7. BEYOND BURGERS
Okay so I don't have an actual typed up recipe, but I couldn't leave out the option to have vegan burgers for Super Bowl Sunday. These are easy to throw on the grill or in a frying pan, and really don't need any seasoning. Cook them according to the instructions on the package, then top them with your favorites (I always go with a slice of vegan gouda cheese, caramelized onions, greens, and bbq sauce).
If you're not a fan of plant-based meats, try these Sweet Potato Burgers or Jackfruit BBQ Sandwiches, which can both easily be made as sliders to stick with the snack theme.

You can make this days in advance, then throw it on the stove and let it simmer on low for hours, allowing your guests to grab a bowl whenever they need a hearty filling bite to eat. Serve it with a side of vegan sour cream, cheese, tortilla chips, or Frito's.
Alright, alright, this is technically a Christmas recipe. But it's so easy to throw together ahead of time, then pop in the oven when you're tired of finger foods and want something more filling. The red sauce layer is meaty and hearty while the green pesto layer adds a boost of flavor and lightens up the dish. Or if you want to stick with the theme of serving little snacks, try these Lasagna Roll Ups instead.
Another easy-to-make-ahead-of-time-then-pop-in-the-oven-when-you're-ready recipe. Because what's Super Bowl Sunday without a little dessert? Using flaky, buttery, and accidentally vegan Pillsbury Crescent Roll dough makes this a fun and easy recipe for all ages.
Any of course, beer. Make sure to check if your favorite brews are vegan at www.Barnivore.com.
